Composite & Metal

Bonding metals with fibre composites is often challenging due to the different thermal expansion coefficients of the parts to be joined. The adhesive not only has to have a very high strength, but also needs sufficient flexibility to be able to absorb the tensions in the bonded joint during temperature changes. At the same time, a minimum gap should be guaranteed to prevent contact corrosion. Our Kisling range of structural adhesives meets this requirement by means of integrated spacers built into the material its self.
